The final answer keys for the UP TET (Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test) 2014 are now available online. Candidates who appeared for the exam can have a look at the answer keys on the following website: upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
The UP TET was conducted on February 22, 2014 and February 23, 2014. The primary answer key for the examination was released on March 3, 2014 behind the scheduled date i.e February 27, 2014.
At the time of releasing the primary answer key, the board had requested the candidates to send the objections or any discrepancy related to questions/incorrect keys. After receiving several objections, based on these objections, the board had released final answer keys of this examination.
The annual UP TET qualifies candidates to teach primary (Classes I-V) and upper primary (Classes VI-VIII) in any government school and in participating privately operated schools in Uttar Pradesh. Aspirants can attempt paper I to teach primary classes, paper II to teach upper primary classes or for both to be able to teach primary and upper primary. The UP TET certification is valid for a period of five years, although interested candidates can reappear anytime.
Eligibility as per the notification for appearing for UPTET is graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and completion of two years diploma in special education (D.Ed) is the eligibility for primary teachers. For upper primary class, an eligibility criterion is graduation along with one-year degree in elementary education (B.EI.Ed). Candidates who were having professional degrees such as B.E, B.Tech, BCA and BBA cannot apply for this examination.
